#SexySnippets where a proposal is...



Hi all and welcome again to #SexySnippets.  I’m about to discover just how my hero gets out of this...



A rustic table, covered with a red and white checked gingham tablecloth, old-fashioned rose painted china, and what appeared to be antique cutlery was set off with aged lead crystal glasses. Dainty sandwiches and cakes filled three lovely oval platters. Two cushioned chairs, a parasol and then incongruously, a cool box on a side table—a mixture of Austen and shabby chic.

The perfect setting for...for what?

He took her hand and lead her to the table, to help her sit down, before he poured a glass of champagne, handed it to her, coughed and got down on one knee.

‘Darling I wonder if you would do me the honour of...’

The big blue and white ball landed with a splat in the middle of the cakes, knocked two glasses over and rolled down onto his head, covering him with cream, jam, champagne and cucumber.

Not quite the best way to propose.

#MidWeekTease Where new beginnings are almost about to happen

Last tease from New Beginnings for Bryony Bennett (Next week I'll tease you with Lottie...Or Amanda...or... wink ) (Bryony is moving from the city to the countryside) The last lap - a tiny track - was not really designed for overloaded geriatric sports cars that were fondly called Milly. Named after her godmother, who had said the vehicle was as creaky as she was, the car protested with every ill-used spring grating like a fingernail on a chalkboard. Poor thing, it sounded as aching as her back felt. Long journeys in clapped out cars, especially one towing a trainer—albeit a small one—weren’t pleasant, but it was all she had. Hold on, I can buy a new one now. Not a sports car though. Stupid though it sounded, it would be like a slap in the face to Milly…or was that a thump on the bonnet?
